A considerable amount of occupational information on Londoners is available in print. These include biographical dictionaries, record publications, guild histories, archival guides, trade directories, and regimental histories. This bibliography is intended to draw these publications to the attention of the genealogist, and the term 'occupation' is interpreted broadly to include titles concerning insurance policy holders, victims, diners, etc. For the purposes of this work, London comprises the area within the historic boundaries of the City of London and the County of Middlesex.
